Pricing is often tailored to the actual requirements of the session and location. These prices are generic and the session would be tailored to meet your individual requirements and vision. please contact me to discuss your unique requirements, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
The final pricing may be subject to additional costs apart from that of the actual photo session, such as:
- À la carte requests including a request for onsite in-house printing please contact meto discuss your requirements, always happy to talk about your specific needs. In house printing is by David Eades Photography using various professional papers (rag, cotton rag, slick, lustre, metallic etc) in sizes up to A1 (24x36") using one of our professional Epson 9 archival ink printers (Stylus Pro R3000 or 7890). Prices are for the print only; framing can be co-ordinated through a local framer or a readymade frame provided at actual cost and a small $ 25.00 handling fee. Prints costs will be advised once the requirements are known.
- Changes to packages will be À la carte once the items to be involved are understood and confirmed with our professional printing partner.
- Any permits or photographic licenses required by the venue/location to use the location. As an example, locations may change a permit fee, like the Royal Botanical Gardens (Melbourne and Cranbourne) - is $200.00 (includes a $10 service fee) which is a non-refundable booking fee from the gardens. For weddings they charge a $108 Booking Fee and $165.00 per hour for a low impact commercial photography permit (for weddings) with $10-20M public liability insurance required (current 2023). For more details please visit this link for charges within the Royal Botanic Gardens (CBD, Packenham etc) and review the costs for reserving areas or higher impact events.
- If there is another location, I research and confirm and fees or charges the venue has, this include most public access gardens, visitor/tour locations. These are becoming more prolific and are costs beyond my scope.
- Some extra travel expenses, e.g., travel other than vehicle or exceeding 1 hour driving time.
- Accommodation if required (inclusive of meals if overnight duration)
Collaboration and/or TFP (Time for Print) Sessions
If a collaboration or TFP session requested and agreed to be arranged, consideration for the photographer, model portfolio, or HMUA (makeup & hair artist) portfolio as 'Time for Print' may be available, following normally accepted parameters, credits and restriction on editing/filters. Please discuss during consultation. All parties participate at their own cost. If a model seeks HMUA for a session, this can be arranged separately and the HMUA may have their specific costs to the model directly if not involved in the actual TFP itself.
Test Shoots
I normally offer the model or client the same considerations as with a TFP session. The images are not for commercial or for any form of profit and they are limited to use on social media or generic portfolio (not a model look-book). The test shoot is nominally to allow the photographer and model/client to work together in preparation for potential future consignments etc.
Model Look-book
This offer is aimed at the new or emerging model, nominally not already signed to an agency. Agency rates will vary for this offer and are available upon contact. The look-book session is on average:
- an hour duration, normally in studio.
- cost between $250 - $500 or as discussed for there is scope for variation depending on what is to be involved
- base images are unedited with minimal or no makeup, covering head, head & shoulders (torso), 2/3 turn, back in simple wardrobe and/or leotard/bikini as alternative. Rapid shooting with no posing, basic photographs.
- 3/4 Beauty shoot, 1-2 wardrobe changes, self-applied makeup time and choice of images to be edited (3-4 photographs nominally)
- Additional wardrobe changes, more complex shoots / concepts can be catered for post negotiation.
Deposits and Cancellations
In Order to confirm a booking a deposit of 50% of the anticipated fee or $200.00 (whichever is the greater) must be made a minimum of 10 business days prior to the proposed session date. (weddings and celebration deposits will be in the specific agreement). If the date needs to change due to the clients’ needs, this may occur but it limited to 2 agreed changes within a 30-day period.
Cancellations of a session by the client will result in the session being cancelled and the deposit being lost. Cancellation by David Eades Photography will allow for a re-booking at the client’s convenience (within a 3-month period) or return of the deposit in full.
